♫Sometimes All I need is the air
That I breathe And to love you
All I need is the air That I breathe and  to love you
All I need is the air That I breathe..♫

This morning we got up early and drove to Scripps Health. She had to get a TB shot. This is all in preparation for my service duty as a Pet Ambassador.

Afterwards, we went to the nearby dog park. As usual we met a lovely Person. Her name is Rachel and she is a Dog Walker and Pet Sitter. She even has her own business, Four Legged Creature Care.

Ahhh, yes.  Who doesn’t love to have their butt scratched?

I was curious.  So I asked myself: What is a Pet Sitter and how do you become one?  Having a love for animals is important, but That can’t be all there is to it. What’s involved with becoming a professional Pet Sitter?

First, you need insurance to protect yourself in the event of an accident, injury, or any other unforeseen occurrence. Second, you need a bond certification.  The bonding company will do a complete background check on you to find out if you are an honest and trustworthy person, with NO criminal record. This is important because as a Pet Sitter, you may be asked to stay in the pet owner’s home with their pet while they are away.

After you have gained some experience, you may decide you want to be recognized and certified as a professional Pet Sitter. NAPPS, The National Association of Professional Pet Sitters, PSI, Pet Sitters International and Pet Sitters Associates, LLC are three such organizations that have established nationally recognized standards and practices that protect the animals, the public and you, the Pet Sitter. I wouldn’t mind being one of Rachel’s clients.

Boy, it’s amazing the things you learn from a fortuitous encounter with the People that you meet each day.

Goodwill Energies I direct
Toward each and every one of you
Each and every day

❝And there came to be evening and there came to be morning…❞

That's life today!
