Saturday we drove south to Oceanside. We’re in Oceanside a lot these days mostly because of Her volunteer work at Camp Pendleton at the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS), and TERI, Inc. Today was day One of two Oceanside Days Of Art now in its 18th year of “Celebrating Our Cultural Community.”

Naturally there was music. I sat in on the Oceanside Swing Orchestra performing with Tom Morrow on the Broman Stage. I posted a video of me watching the performance for #bullDogNATION on Twitter. I love music, especially orchestra and horns and these guys were just terrific!

Naturally there was plenty of food on hand. But the best part, as always, was all the great People who stopped to pat me on the head or take my picture and share their Goodwill Energy with me and Her.

Meet Shawna Reed, an Admissions Representative for Up With People. Up With People is a leadership, service, and study abroad program that has been making the world more culturally literate since its inception in 1965.

Shawna has traveled all the way from Denver, Colorado to recruit young People for the program and to encourage home owning adults here who can to invite an Up With People cast member to stay with them.  The Up With People guest will be performing in A Song For The World from April 26th through May 3rd at the Moonlight Amphitheater located in Brengle Terrace Park in the neighboring town of Vista, CA.

Is there an art walk or cultural street festival happening in your town?

But now enough of all this exposition! On with the Photo Gallery!
